PPP women defends Zardari and Faryal Talpur

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) women leaders Shehla Raza, Sharmila Farooqui, Rubina Qaimkhani and others swung into action on Sunday to defend former President Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur against the onslaught of rebel party’s leader Zulfiqar Mirza.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza said that Mirza had no political weight and that he should refrain from mudslinging on PPP’s leadership.

Shehla recalled that Mirza had become Sindh Home Minister only after joining the PPP.

Speaking on this occasion, Sharmila Faorooqui added that PPP would give a befitting response to Mirza’s allegations. “Zulfiqar Mirza is a filthy person,” Sharmila alleged.

“We will not tolerate a single word against Faryal Talpur,” they said.
