Rabbani asks ministers to explain Mina situation in Senate

ISLAMABAD: In view of the state of anxiety among the families whose loved ones are performing Haj this year and they have not heard from them, Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani has asked government ministers to clear the air.


“The unfortunate tragedy at Mina has become a source of concern and anxiety for the affected families in Pakistan,” he said in separate letters to Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz and Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, said a press release here on Monday.

In the letters, Rabbani further said, “the Senate is in session on Monday 5th October at 3:00 pm and it will be appreciated if a comprehensive statement on the said situation is made.”
