One of the suspect Badshah Khan was nabbed in injured condition.

On the other hand in Baldia Town police detained a member of Lyari gang war. According to Superintendant Police (SP) Baldia, the culprit Shah Nawaz was involved in various extortion activities.

Three suspects were also arrested from Mubaina Town. Besides this unidentified men opened fire on a sub-inspector on Hub Rewar road and wounded him.

Police state that the sub-inspector is deployed in traffic police and has been shifted to hospital for medical assistance.

Karachi operation, launched in late 2013 to tackle soaring crime rates, is on the run as the Rangers continue to pursue a major crackdown on offenses in the volatile port city of 20 million people.

A report published earlier this year suggested that the operation in Karachi by the Rangers has greatly reduced the target killings.

More than 669 police officers have been the victims of targeted killings, a number which has been considerably reduced to 320 since the Karachi operation.
