At least eight schoolchildren suffered burn injuries when a van bearing the children caught fire in the Sargodha district of Punjab.
Movements of the flame could not be determined at once.
Police and rescue officials said the incident took place in Bhalwal city of Sargodha district where a flame flared up in a school van carrying more than a dozen kids.
Locals and rescue teams arrived on the scene and did away with the fires.
They transferred the injured children to headquarters hospital Bhalwal.
The kids were aged between eight and 12 years. Two of them are supposed to be in a vital state.
Police were looking into the causes of the blast
