Security forces wanted to arrest the militants alive

LAHORE: On early Thursday, an armed confrontation among security forces and suspected militants in the time of search operation in a compound situated in Lahore’s Raiwind Road area killed seven suspected militants while one elite force man was also cause to death and five others had been wounded, Anti-Terrorism Punjab Minister Col. (retd) Shuja Khanzada stated.

Talking to media representatives, Khanzada stated that the exact number of militants present the area could not be established and several of them seemed to have flown.

He stated security forces wanted to arrest the militants alive, adding that terrorism could not be wiped out in an individual day.

The skirmish started when security forces, acting on a point off, conducted a search operation at Aryan Pind near Raiwind Road.
