Seven terrorists killed in encounter with police in Karachi

KARACHI: Police on Wednesday night claimed to have killed at least seven suspected militants in the country’s financial center.

“A group of militants attacked a police mobile in the seedy slums of Orangi Town, drawing retaliation from the cops, who barely escaped the shots fired on them from multiple sides” a spokesman for police told.

After a long exchange of fire, the police party succeeded in shooting dead at least five of the attackers, the official said.

Details have it that the comrades of slain militants have fled the scene leaving their getaway vehicle behind.

“The policemen are at a safe distance from the car suspecting an improvised explosive device is planted inside,” an eyewitness said.
