KARACHI: Lambasting at the Sindh government for its ‘poor’ performance, Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Amir Sirajul Haq said the CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah is an elderly man and that he needs to be kept inside the ‘refrigerator’.
“I take pity on the Sindh Chief Minister, because an aged person like cannot take notice of the problems being faced by the citizens,” said Sirajul Haq while addressing a gathering at an Iftar party here.
Regretting at the recent massive deaths in Karachi due to heat wave, Sirajul Haq said flawed policies pursued by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) turned Karachi into ‘Karbala’.
Siraj added Karachi is the biggest tax contributor in the national exchequer, therefore, its problems must be resolved on priority basis.
Referring to the Balochistan unrest, he said today the situation of the biggest province in terms of area is so bad that its youngsters are left with no other choice but to head for the mountains.
Siraj lamented that even after the passage of 68 years since the formation of Pakistan, a true Islamic system could not be enforced in the country.
