ATTOCK: At least six students on Friday have been admitted in Jand Hospital after Dengue spray in school on September 10 caused respiration-related issues among the youth.
A team had sprayed anti-dengue microbes in Government Girls High School in Jand leading to different problems among the students. Some pupils encountered issues with respiration while others were knocked unconscious.
After the news spread, parents rushed to the school, concerned for their children. The hospital administration had discharged dozens of students as their conditions were stable then. However, as many as 20 female students have been readmitted today for not being completely recovered.
Parents said that the children are having breathing problems after the spray. They have alleged the administration concerned of spraying an expired product. The affected families further said that protective measures which are needed before such procedures were not taken into account.
The parents said that the team could have carried out the spray after the school hours.
