Talks between Pak Rangers, Indian BSF chiefs to begin on Sept 9

After cancellation of NSA-level talks, Pakistan and India are set to continue their bilateral engagement with a possible meeting between the Director Generals of Pakistan Rangers and the Indian Border Security Force and on September 9 in New Delhi.


According to Pakistan Rangers, Punjab DG rangers Umar Farooq Barki will hold talks with the Indian counterpart on September 9 and the process will continue till September 13.

The two sides are expected to discuss the situation on the Line of Control and the international boundary between India and Pakistan.

The talks also give the two sides a chance to get an understanding of each other’s attitudes at the military level.

On the other hand, the meeting of the DGMOs, which was another decision taken at the Prime Ministers’ meeting in Ufa, has not yet been decided.
