KARACHI: On Thursday, The Sindh High Court reserved its verdict in a petition seeking the removal of retired general Pervez Musharraf’s name from the Exit Control.
On November 3, 2007, Musharraf is facing treason charges for subverting and circumventing the Constitution by imposing emergency. The federal government had putted down his name on the ECL, stating he might attempt to run off.
The division bench of the high court today heard the statements from both defense and prosecution and reserved the judgement which will be declared on May 31.
Nasim, in the time of speaking to the media after the audition, said Musharraf was a mark of ‘political ego’ and that the regime was charging a crime by levelling treason charges opposed to him.
