Three militants arrested, explosives seized in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Special Police Unit (SPU) foiled a terror bid in Peshawar ahead of Pakistan’s Defence Day by arresting three militants and recovering explosives from their possession.


The suspects are identified as Hidayatullah, Noorullah and Sanaullah, who were involved in several crimes including target killings of polio workers and collecting extortion.

Police said that a five kilogram time bomb has also been recovered from the possession of the accused.

The suspects are being interrogated.
