A government teacher and five of his family members were wiped out in a distant region of Balochistan.
According to Deputy Commissioner Turbat, Mumtaz Baloch, the incident took place in the Dasht Chat area, approximately 40 kilometers from Turbat town in Balochistan’s southern Kech district.
The teacher, Master Hameed, and his family members, including a woman, were drawn out of their home by unknown gunmen and shot dead this morning.
After getting the news, the DC visited the setting along with local government and security troops who were searing the area.
The bodies were shifted to Turbat hospital for post-mortem.
Several government teachers and government-run schools have been targeted by Baloch rebels and miscreants across the restive Balochistan. Nevertheless, tribal rivalry and old enmity could also be a reason behind Turbat’s gory incident.
Police were looking into the slayings.
