Two political party workers arrested from Chaman border

CHAMAN: Frontier Corps (FC) Thursday claimed to have arrested two suspects on Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

According to FC spokesman, the suspects are identified as Mohsin Ali and Khalid Shamim, who are affiliated with a Karachi-based political party.

The spokesman said that the accused were entering Pakistan from Afghanistan.

He said a decision has been taken to hand over suspects to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for interrogation.

It is still unclear whether the arrested persons are the same wanted in MQM leader Imran Farooq murder case.

But, Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, two days ago, had expressed his commitment to bring the murderers of the MQM leader to book.

Farooq, 50, a founding member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) party, was stabbed and beaten to death in Edgware, northwest London, as he returned home from work in September 2010.
