Unidentified motorcyclists gun down sessions judge in Rawalpindi


RAWALPINDI: Tahir Khan Niazi, the Additional and Session Judge, was assassinated in his home in Rawalpindi.


Three armed men barged into residence of the judge in Satellite Town of the garrison city and fired shot on him, before fleeing from the scene, according to CPO Rawalpindi, Israr Abbasi.

Tahir Khan Niazi was shifted to hospital but could survive, the police official told correspondent. He said police was investigating motives behind the murder.

A large number of judges and lawyers reached Benazir Bhutto hospital where Niazi’s autopsy was conducted.
