ISLAMABAD: The US embassy in Pakistan, in response to frequent statements of some political leaders and journalists, on Monday, dispelled all allegations of funding a specific media release in Pakistan terming it as “deceptive or inaccurate”.
US regime has taken all those accusations as ‘misleading and inaccurate’ in a press release put out by the US embassy. It further read that US government strongly supports free and professional media.
The US Embassy in Islamabad, through a statement, said that there are numerous inaccurate or deceptive assertions in the media lately regarding the United States financial support for Pakistani media outlets and its media programs are not targeted to any one special group.
The US statement stated, “US government relief supports Pakistan’s media sector broadly, to add a range of print, broadcast, and radio formats. For instance, the United States funds volume building in the form of archiving capabilities, opportunities for journalists to build up their professional skills in the US through exchange programs, and educational and breeding opportunities for journalists, editors, and producers”.
