4 dead in Balochistan railway track explosion

DERA MURAD JAMALI: Four dead including a woman and her daughter in an explosion at a railway track at Balochistan’s Dera Murad Jamali area on Sunday while ten other were also injured according to the police.


Culprits installed an improvised explosive device (IED) at the railway track with an intention to blow up the Jaffar Express, District Police Officer Irfan Bashir said.

There was a sudden blast when the train arrived at Dera Murad Jamali, said Bashir. Part of the railway track was damaged, he added.

The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Police and other law enforcement officials reached the spot and began an immediate investigation.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani, while taking notice of the incident, said the culprits will be caught and brought to justice.
