FIR lodged against Raiwind suicide attack

LAHORE: Counter Terrorism Department has filed First Information Report (FIR) against the last night Raiwind suicide attack, which martyred 9 people, injuring scores of people.


Clauses of murder, attempt to murder and terrorism are added against 4 unidentified terrorists, newsone reported.

The FIR states that 4 terrorists tried to enter into the Raiwind congregation, which the police officials standing on the check post foiled their attempt.

3 managed to escape the scene, however` one teenager blew himself around 9: 20 PM on Wednesday night.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan had claimed the responsibility of the suicide attack, sources added.

On Wednesday, 9 people including 5 police officials were martyred as a result of suicide attack near the famous Raiwind religious congregations in Lahore.

Eventually the attack drew condemnation from Punjab government officials including chief minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif, political leaders and from Law enforcement agencies.
