Naqeebullah Mehsud Murder Case: Sindh police fails to nab absconder Rao Anwar

KARACHI: Bench of Supreme Court of Pakistan headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar gave more relaxation to the Sindh police to arrest deposed SSP Rao Anwar who is also a absconder in Naqeebullah Mehsud murder case, NewsOne reported.


Naqeebullah Mehsud, a 27-year-old native of Waziristan, was among three others who were accused of terrorism and killed on January 13 on the orders of Malir SSP Rao Anwar, in what was later determined to be a fake encounter.

Today, the apex court resumed hearing in Karachi Supreme Court’s registry , sought the details of the progress that have been made so far, however Sindh Police Inspector General A.D. Khawaja informed that whereabouts of Rao Anwar have not be ascertained yet.

A.D Khowaja , furthermore informed that the progress in this case is expected within two and three days, as the court directed him to submit  progress report on Monday.
