MMA Revival: Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman designated as party head

KARACHI:  Religious Parties in Muttahida  Majlis-e-Amal have once again tied their knot, which was broken in 2008 elections, as Jamate_Ulama -e-Islam(Fazlurehman) leader Maulana Fazl-ur- Rehman has been designated ‘Ameer’ (Head)of MMA, NewsOne reported.


Talking to the press, Maulana Fazl -ur-Rehman said that he hopes the MMA would continue to work for the aspirations of Pakistan’s people, as it should not have been defected on its first instance.

MMA came into political scene in 2002 elections held under former Military dictator General(R) Pervez Musharraf, and was able to form the government in then(NWFP) and now KP province.
