Accountability Court Judge Mohammad Bashir tenure extended for 3 years

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has extended the tenure of Accountability Bureau judge Mohammad Bashir by 3 years, who is hearing corruption references against the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his family and Ishaq Dar.


According to details, the judges was scheduled to retire by 13th March, 2018; however the Islamabad High Court had sought extension from law ministry which was granted today.

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had extended the timeline for NAB to conclude references against Sharifs and Ishaq Dar by 2 to 3 months respectively.
