ISLAMABAD: Former Air Chief and veteran politician Air Marshal Asghar Khan passed away, according to Newsone.
Pakistan Air force spokesman confirmed the death news of the first PAF commander, who passed away on Friday’s morning.
Funeral prayer will be held at Pakistan Air force in Islamabad, and would be laid to rest in Abbottabad.
Air Marshal Asghar Khan was a major opposition to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and he was the one, who filed the petition against the illegitimate allocation of resources allegedly by the Pakistan’s Spy agency in buying loyalties in 1990’s elections and forming Islamic Jamhoori Ittehad(IJI).
In 2011, the Supreme Court of Pakistan announced the verdict on the petition of Asghar Khan.
