Army chief calls civil-military leadership meeting in Quetta to discuss security situation

QUETTA: Army Chief General Raheel Sharif on Monday visited Balochistan High Court where he met with the Chief Justice Mir Muhammad Noor Meskanzai and expressed condolence with him over today deadly bombing.


According to Inter Service Public Relation, General Raheel Sharif offered condolence with the Balochistan High Court chief justice regarding the suicide blast inside the Civil Hospital in which majority of lawyers were killed.

“Army Chief offered condolences with Chief Justice, panel of judges for all those who lost their lives,” twitted General Asim Bajwa, Director General ISPR.

General Raheel Sharif also called a high-powered civil-military leadership meeting in Quetta to discuss post deadly blast security situation in the province, said ISPR.

Chief of Army Staff will chair a security conference with civil-military leadership, said ISPR.

Earlier, Army Chief also paid visit to the targeted Civil Hospital and met with the victims of the deadly bombing. ISPR said that serious patients shifted to Combined Military Hospital.

Meanwhile Prime Minister NAwaz sharif left for Quetta to attend civil-military leadership meeting.
