Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday showed confidence over the existing security conditions as well as the socio-economic advancement projects in Balochistan , according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Upon his visit to the Headquarters Southern Command in Quetta, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) was given updates about the security conditions of the state, execution of the National Action Plan (NAP) and Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, and advancements of the Khush Hal Balochistan Programme.
Gen Qamar was quoted as saying, “these steps will help elevating the overall security and socio-economic indicators in the province.”
The Army Chief said Baluchistan “is future of Pakistan and it is our duty to fully assist the government and the people of Balochistan towards a shining future,” according to Pakistan Army media division.
COAS also paid a visit to the School of Infantry and Tactics later today and met the faculty.
COAS said, “Pakistan Army has played an important role for reduction in the internal security threats as well as effective response along borders.”
COAS further said that the homeland recognized and fully-embraced efforts of Pakistan Army in the nation’s battle against terrorism and militancy.
COAS said, “we shall always come up to the expectations of the people of Pakistan who are our real strength.”
