Army chief visits Awaran, lays foundation stone of Cadet College

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa during his visit to Awaran has performed the earht breaking for Cadet College Awaran at Jhao, ISPR reported on Monday.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), During the visit, General Bajwa also inaugurated work for the Turbat- Bulaeda road.

“Cadet College Awaran initially will be for 800 cadets with plans to enhance its capacity subsequently. The project will be completed in the quicker timeframe of two years for its planned initial capacity,” said the statement by ISPR.

Army chief also met with local tribal leaders and was briefed on security situation during his visit.

The COAS appreciated progress through joint working by security forces and the civil administration.

Earlier, in the evening COAS interacted with local elders of Turbat at Headquarters FC Balochistan (South).

CM Balochistan  Abdul Qudoos Bazinjo, Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa and IGFC Balochistan (South) Major General Tariq Aman were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Gen Bajwa said that People of Balochistan and Turbat have the rights for provision of  similar facilities as in rest of Pakistan.
