Ashiana-e-Iqbal case: NAB summons PM’s principal secretary

LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Fawad Hasan Fawad, the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing Scheme case, Newsone reported on Wednesday.


According to sources, Fawad Hassan Fawad will appear as a witness before probing committee on Thursday to record statements pertaining the case.

Fawad Hasan Fawad is facing an allegation of providing contract to his desired companies.

On March 17, Government of Punjab on Friday has suspended former Director General (DG) of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Ahad Cheema for a period of three months.

Ahad Cheema a 20 grade officer, considered to be a close aide of chief minister of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif was arrested after failing to appear before NAB after two summons.

Ashiana Housing Scheme was an initiative of the Punjab government to provide economical residential facilities to the people with low-incomes.
