Asma Rani’s homicide: Prime suspect ‘MujahidUllah Afridi’ arrested from Sharjah through Interpol

ABBOTTABAD: The Interpol on Thursday has arrested prime suspect ‘Mujahid Afridi’ in Asma Rani murder case.


Family sources of Asma Rani has confirmed the arrest of prime suspect ‘Mujahid Afridi’.

Asma Rani, a medical student was shot to dead by Mujahidullah Afridi after the deceased refused to accept the marriage proposal offered by the culprit, last month on January 27th.

According to sources, Mujahid Afridi is a nephew of PTI’s district president.

Since then the culprit has managed to escape from the  Khyber-PakhtunKhuwah’s  police, as the former is reported to have flown away to Saudia Arabia.

On 20 Feb his name was placed by Interpol on the most wanted list.

Last month Police arrested a close accomplice of the prime suspect Mujahidullah Afridi. The arrested close aid Shahzeb assisted Mujahidullah in fleeing the country after killing Asma Rani.

On Feb, 21 Supreme Court of Pakistan had given a month time to arrest the main suspect involved in a murder of 24 years old girl in Kohat district.
