Assembly will complete tenure no matter what opposition says: Sindh CM

KARACHI: Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah has said that assembly would complete its tenure no matter what opposition says.

While delivering a speech in the Sindh Assembly, Shah said that Article 6 is Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) “teer” (arrow; PPP’s electoral sign) and would be used if Constitution of Pakistan is breached.

He criticised the opposition and called for productive criticism.

He said that the opposition should not attempt to “distort” the Constitution. The Constitution is not for one party but the country, he added.

Shah said that late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and the party offered the most number of sacrifices to protect the Constitution of Pakistan. He said that all institutions are supposed to function under Constitution’s umbrella.

Country could only progress if Constitution is respected, he added.
