Assets Beyond Means Case: NAB’s reference against Dar approved for hearing

ISLAMABAD: Assets beyond means case, former finance minister Ishaq Dar is being probed in an alleged corruption scandal, the premier accountability body of the country, NAB (National Accountability Bureau filed a supplementary reference in the court today in light of Supreme Court’s July 28 verdict in the Panama Papers case.


NAB’s Special Prosecutor Imran Shafeeq and NAB’s Investigation Officer (IO) submitted the supplementary reference to the Registrar’s Office, which includes a horde of new witnesses and  three new accused.

The reference is based on seven volumes and includes the account details of the people accused along with transactions amounting to $4.06 million, said NAB’s Special Prosecutor Shafeeq.

All of the accused named in the case were summoned by the anti-terrorism court on February 28.
