Chakothi/AJK: At least nine people, including four women were killed, leaving five others wounded as passenger jeep plunged into a ravine near near Chakothi village in Hattian Bala Distrct, along the Line of Control (LoC).
According to police, the Jeep fell in to ravine while taking a sharp turn near Dakkan.
Rescue teams reached the site immediately and shifted the injured people to local hospital. The ill-fated vechile was on its way to Chakothi from Shah Kanja village when it met the tragic accident.
Chakothi is a border village in Hattian Bala District, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is located 52 kilometers from Muzaffarabad near Pakistan-India border on bank of Jhelum River.
