Big Wickets Fallen: PM Imran reshuffles cabinet, removes important ministers

ISLAMABAD: In a major cabinet reshuffle on Thursday, posts of several ministers including Fawad Chuadhry, Shehryar Afridi, Azam Sawati among others were changed.


According to the new reshuffle, former Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has been given the post of Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Shehryar Afridi got the Ministry of Border and State Affairs, Azam Sawati was given Ministry of Parliamentarian Affairs while Ghulam Sarwar Khan was given Ministry of Aviation.

The new Minister for Interior will be Ijaz Ahmed Shah, Mohammad Mian Sumro will be a new Privatization Minister while the new Financial Adviser will be Dr Abdul Hafeez Siddiqui.

The new Special Assistant for Information will be Firdous Aashiq Awan, Nadeem Babar will be Special Assistant for Petroleum and Zafar Ullah Mirza will be Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Special Assistant for Health.

Earlier today, Asad Umar had stepped down from his post of Federal Finance Minister.
