Chinese nationals reportedly thrashed over financial dispute in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Two Chinese nationals were reportedly injured over a financial dispute in Sector F-7, it emerged on Tuesday.

In a complaint to the Kohsar police, the Chinese nationals said they are running a hotel business in the three-storey building. They claimed that the building owner, along with other men, thrashed them over a business disagreement and also took away their travelling documents and money.

Both foreigners are said to have entered Pakistan in December last year, and do not speak a word of English or Urdu, police said. Officials added that they are thus trying to arrange for translators to establish communication with the foreigners.

The suspects also claimed to have been injured in the incident.

The Chinese nationals, in a written statement, have also asked the Interior Ministry to be provided security.
