CJ Jamali to leave for Turkey tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice (CJ) of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali will leave for Turkey tomorrow (April 23) to take part in the annual celebrations of the Turkish Constitutional Court.

CJ will leave for Turkey from Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto International Airport tomorrow morning. Senior judge Justice Saqib Nisar will serve as the interim Chief Justice during Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali’s absence.

Sources indicate that the CJ will return from Turkey on May 1. Keeping this in view, if a letter is written by the government in regards to the formation of the judicial commission to probe into the Panama Leaks will result in the delay of the entire procedure till the Chief Justice’s return.
