CJP orders to remove unnecessary check posts from Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Wednesday has ordered to remove all unnecessary check post from Peshawar, Newsone reported.

“Open all close roads from the city within 48 hours,” CJP directed administration.

During his visit to Peshawar chief secretary informed CJP about need of checkpoints in some red alert areas.

The CJP then ordered to keep the necessary check posts and asked authorities to show him the necessary places.

CJP said that if there is any security issues the authorities must informed him. CJP further assured people to make the roads viable for traffic.

Earlier in a day, CJP Saqib Nisar visited Central Jail Peshawar, where he expressed displeasure over deplorable state of a psychiatric hospital inside the prison.

Justice Nisar also summoned Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to the prison, who showed up over the chief justice’s orders.

During the visit IG Prisons informed the chief justice that they will start shifting the prisoners to the new jail from June.

While hearing the Army Public School (APS) massacre case CJP ordered to form judicial commission and directed authorities to submit report in two months.
