CJP Saqib Nisar notes few new elected Senators hold ‘Dual Nationality’

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar noted that few Senators have been elected who hold dual nationalities, newsone reported.


On Saturday 52 candidates contested for Senate seat, as Pakistan Muslim League(N) backed candidates emerged victorious in Upper House polls, followed by Pakistan Peoples Party.

While hearing a  case’ pertaining to dual citizenship of judges and civil servants, CJP also cleared  that he is not aware of the names of new-elected Senators who hold dual- nationality adding that he was informed.

On giving the right to to cast vote to over seas Pakistanis, Saqib Nisar added that “Overseas Pakistanis have exercised enough patience.We will provide them with the right to cast votes.”
