CJP summons PM Abbasi, other CEOs of all airlines on May 12

KARACHI: Chief Justice of Pakistan Miqan Saqib Nisar has summoned all chief executive officers(CEOs) of private airlines  of the country on Sunday in Karachi  Supreme Court registry.

On Thursday, while hearing a case pertaining to ‘fake degrees’ of pilots, the CJP heading a three member bench expressed anger on the reports of pilots carrying unverified degrees.

When a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) director informed the court that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also owns Air Blue, the chief justice remarked that they can call him in his private capacity and not as the prime minister.

The court observed that the complete data from all airlines has still not been submitted to the court, adding that the CEOs should explain this, at the next hearing.
