CM Sindh telephones Corps commander after Karachi incident


KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Tuesday telephoned Karachi Corps Commander Lt. Gen. Naveed Mukhtar after gunmen attack a security forces vehicle in the city that left two personnel martyred.


According to our correspondent, the chief minister assured corps commander that the culprits behind the attack would be taken to task.

Earlier, gunmen riding a motorbike opened fire at the vehicle of military police on MA Jinnah Road near Tibet Centre, killing Hawaldar Rashid and Lance Naik Arshad.

Security forces have launched a search operation in nearby katchi abadis where suspects may have fled.
