Couple murdered to salvage honour in Karachi


KARACHI: A newly married couple was found dead at their house in Orangi Town area on Monday in what appeared to be a case of honour killing.


Residents at Mominabad Colony called the police after they heard gunshots in the neighbourhood. Police reached the spot to recover bodies of the newlywed couple from their house.

The husband identified as Hamid Khan had taken the house on rent a week ago.

The couple belonged to the Mehsud tribe of North Waziristan.

At least nine bullets of a 9mm pistol were recovered from the body, police said.
