Court sends Hamza Shahbaz to jail on 14-day judicial remand

Lahore: An accountability court extended judicial remand of Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz till November 13 in the Money Laundering case here on Monday.

The court also extended the judicial remand of Hamza Shehbaz till 12 November in Ramzan Sugar Mills case.

Hamza, the son of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and National Assembly opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif, is facing inquiries in cases related to Ramzan Sugar Mills, money laundering and owning assets beyond means.

According to NAB, Hamza and his younger brother Salman Shahbaz, while being directors of the Mills, allegedly constructed a bridge from public money in Chiniot which directly linked to their mills.
