Cylinder blast leaves one dead, four injured in Lahore


LAHORE: At least one person was killed while four including a woman sustained injuries in a cylinder blast in Lahore here on Thursday.


The incident took place in a village near Johar Town when a cylinder suddenly exploded, killing a 55-year-old house owner Ghulam Bani while his spouse Naseem Bibi, 17-year-old son Akram Ali, seven-year-old daughter Lubna, eight-year-old Tayyaba severely wounded.

Rescue team arrived at the scene and shifted the injured ones to the hospital for medical assistance whereas the corpse was also taken to the morgue.

The blast was heard in far away areas as well that created fear among the locals.
