KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPPP) in its consultative session on Tuesday presided over by Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari has decided to seek explanation from ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif and PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi over Mumbai attacks statement, NewsOne reported.
The meeting has demanded PM Abbasi to take parliament into confidence and clarify his statement in National Assembly.
The session has further decided to do consultation with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and other opposition parties.
Chairing the meeting PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said that PPP will not tolerate anything related to state’s security.
The session discussed recent killings in Palestine and FATA merger with KP.
Meeting recalled that Pakistan’s strong narrative could not find space in the world capitals due to the flopped foreign policy of Nawaz Sharif and his government.
Those attending the meeting included MNA Faryal Talpur, Senator Sherry Rehman Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, Syed Khursheed Shah Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, former Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, MNA Syed Naveed Qamar, PPP Sindh Senior Vice President Manzoor Wassan, PPP Sindh General Secretary Waqar Mehdi, and PPP Karachi Division President Saeed Ghani.
Earlier today, Incumbent Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Ababsi said that no one has the right to distribute ‘treason certificate’, a reference to the ongoing political havoc following Nawaz Sharif interview given to a news outlet.
Addressing at the floor of National Assembly today, the Pakistan Muslim League(Nawaz) stalwart reiterated that the Indian Media misreported Nawaz’s statement on the Mumbai attacks.
