Dollar on the upsurge again, hits Rs155 in interbank market

KARACHI: The US dollar continued to soar against the Pakistani rupee, reaching new all-time highs in the interbank and open markets on Friday.


The Pakistani rupee continued to weaken, shedding an additional Rs5 against the US dollar, which was being traded at Rs 154 in the interbank market.

Following the rise in the interbank, the US dollar also strengthened in the open market with an Rs2.10 increase to be traded at Rs156.50.

The greenback has risen by Rs4.20 since the market reopened after the Eid holidays.
