ECP to hold by-polls in NA-101 tomorrow


ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will hold by-election in NA-101 on Tuesday.


The Commission has finalized all security arrangements for conducting bye election in peaceful manner.

The troops of Pak Army would be deployed in and outside the sensitive polling stations to avoid any untoward incident.

As many as 262 polling stations have been set up for 386,000 registered voters of NA-101.

The PPP has fielded Ejaz Ahmed Cheema Advocate while the PML-N has fielded Justice (rtd) Iftikhar Ahmed Cheema and PTI gave ticket to Muhammad Ahmed Chatta in bye-polls.

The seat fell vacant after PML-N’s Justice (r) Iftikhar Cheema was de-seated by the Supreme Court on the petition of Muhammad Ahmad Chattha, son of Hamid Nasir Chattha.
