Ex-chairman Fisheries Nisar Morai arrested in Islamabad


ISLAMABAD: Law enforcers on Thursday took Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) key office-bearer and former chairman of Fisheries Department, Dr Nisar Morai into custody from Islamabad airport.


Morai was apprehended as he reached Islamabad airport from abroad. He is alleged of funding gang war members in Karachi, large-scale corruption in public funds and other serious crimes.

Dr Nisar Morai has also served as chairman of the Fisheries Department. He was out of country for quite some time.

Morai has also been summoned by Rangers following disclosures by infamous Lyari gang lord Uzair Baloch.
