Security forces foil major terror attempt at FC center in Quetta

QUETTA: Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) on Thursday have foiled major terrorist attack at Frontier Corps Madadgar center near Chaman housing scheme in Quetta, ISPR reported.


According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), five terrorist tried to the centre with a explosive laden vehicle, but the immediate action from security forces have killed all the militants and cleared the compound.

“All Suicide bombers apparently Afghani. Failed terrorists attempt was response to killing of their key terrorists last night in Kili Almas,” ISPR press release stated.

Four FC personnel’s were wounded in exchange of firing with terrorists. However, no reports of causalities has been reported yet.

On Wednesday, security forces killed a high-value target of banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), along with two other terrorists, involved in the killings of more than 100 innocent people of Hazara community and police personnel.

Colonel Sohail Abid of Military Intelligence embraced shahadat while 4 soldiers got injured, ISPR said.

Earlier today, At least three people were killed and nine others injured in a suicide attack on a security forces convoy in Nowshera’s Kachehri Chowk area, confirmed a senior police official.

The attack occurred near the hometown of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Pervez Khattak.
