KARACHI: Pak Sar Zameen Party (PSP) leader Fauzia Kasuri on Sunday announced to quit politics.
Making the announcement on her Twitter handle, Kasuri wrote: “My journey in politics is over. However, I continue to pray for Pakistan and wish to do whatever little I can for helping out with various charities.”

Kasuri was among the founding members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). She joined PSP before the general elections 2018.
In a letter to PTI chairman she wrote: “You opted to hand over the reins of the party to those electables we fought against since our inception. At the cost of workers, who in some cases, laid down their lives for the cause.”
She further mentioned that is impossible for her to defend the recent decision of PTI.
“It is impossible for me to defend the recent decisions made by PTI,” she added.
Kasuri further stated that this letter be accepted as her formal resignation from the party. “Sadly, this was the final nail in the coffin,” she added.
