Fire gutted more than 60 shops in Dir Bala

DIR BALA: According to details, fire broke out in the cylinder shops in Tar Patar Bazar of Dir Bala on Sunday night which spread very quickly and engulfed more than 60 shops.


The residents of the area tried to bring the blaze under control on self-help basis. The traders staged protest against the fire brigade and rescue teams as they failed to reach the spot in time.

Two vehicles of fire brigade with the help of local residents brought the fire under control after a hectic effort of three hours.

The fire was so severe that it destroyed more than 20 shops in the area. The cause of the fire is still not known. No loss of life was reported in the incident.
