RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar and Khyber Agency on Friday for an in depth briefing on current state of security operations in FATA and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), ISPR reported.
Appreciating the gains of counter terrorism operations so far, he said that ongoing consolidation efforts would take the current gains towards enduring peace and stability.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief saw progress on fencing along Pak-Afghan border in Khyber-Agency.
During the interaction with Tribal leaders and troops COAS Bajwa hailed their sacrifices for peace as well as their full support to security forces in the efforts for ensuring peace.
He was accompanied with Commander Peshawar corps and Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) KP.
