KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan Bahadaurabad faction’s leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said on Friday that he and his group was glad to meet Dr. Farooq Sattar at the party’s office, adding that he hopes to resolve issues through the process of dialogue.
He was speaking in a press conference at the party’s head office, today.
The MQM leader said that the urban Sindh has been underrepresented in the census.
He requested Army chief general Qamar Javed Bajwa to address Karachites concerns regarding overall delimitation process, and asked to play his role.
The disgruntled MQM-P PIB leader Dr Farooq Sattar reached the party’s Bahadurabad office Thursday night.
According to NewsOne, Kishwer Zehra from MQM-Bahadurabad faction welcomed Farooq Sattar and presented him flowers bouquet upon his arrival. He was accompanied by his wife and MNA Ali Raza Abidi.
“PIB and Bahadurabad workers are united,” he said, adding that he didn’t visited Bahadurabad office after Feb, 11 due to some factional reasons.
Farooq Sattar met with MQM-P Rabitta committee members comprise Amir Khan, Faisal Subzwar, Khalid Maqbool Siddique and Kunwar Naveed Jamil.
Farooq Sattar said that he is the convener of MQM-P as Islamabad High Court has restored his old position.
While, Kamran Tessori was seen missing as he did not show up with Sattar at MQM-P Bahadurbad office.
Yesterday, Islamabad High Court had dismissed Election Commission of Pakistan verdict against Muttahida Qaumi Movement(Pakistan) leader Farooq Sattar.
On Monday a five-member bench of the ECP, headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan, had given the order in a case pertaining to the intra-party dispute, stating that Farooq could not lead party as a convener.
