Govt committed to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan: FM Qureshi

MULTAN: Federal Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Sunday the government committed to eliminate terrorism from the Pakistan and have to see if sectarianism was the reason behind the Quetta attack or some foreign powers.


Speaking to media, the Minister said, “Innocent people were killed in Quetta. We have to see if sectarianism was the reason behind the incident or some foreign powers, will not talk without conducting a proper investigation like India.”

“The government is heading in the right direction and it will successfully complete its constitutional term,” FM Qureshi said. “Foreign missions will pave the way for bringing foreign investment in the country,” he added, mentioning that the government is successfully accelerating towards targets at the foreign front.

” Pakistan wants peace in the region and is facilitating in the peace process,” FM Qureshi said when asked about Afghan peace process, adding, “we are not interfering in the internal matters of Afghanistan. The next meeting is in Doha and we hope it will bring results.”

No one not even Finance Minister Asad Umar can fix the economy immediately and that if overthrowing the government was answer of the issue than no government would have survived, FM Qureshi said.

He said, “Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit China and attend the opening session of Belt and Road Forum as chief guest. He will also address the forum,” adding that the Premier will hold vital meetings with China and will also interact with Japan and Iran in future.
