Govt conspiring to bribe politicians, seclude PTI: Imran Khan

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has stated that if the Terms of References (TORs) catering the investigation of the Panama Leaks issue are not decided then the party will take to the streets, adding that the government will not be able to handle such a movement.


While conversing with the media in Lahore, Khan said that the government is prolonging the matter in order to avoid accountability. He stated that if the TORs are not decided then the party will hit the streets with 10% of the country’s population.

PTI Chairman said that government will make efforts to seclude the party, further adding that the politicians shall also be bribed. While answering a question, he said that the sit-in was organised as a response of the government not probing in the results of four constituencies of the general elections 2013. Khan stated that it was later proved that rigging took place in all four of the constituencies. He said that if the party gets the opportunity then accountability shall be held against all four of the retired Election Commissioners.

Imran Khan said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is the “Election Commission of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz”, adding that all four of the previous commissioners were guilty.
